How do I get a publishable key, and how do I keep it safe?

Create a publishable key in your account dashboard and add your site domain to its origin allowlist. A publishable key is browser safe by design: it starts with pk_ and only works from the domains you list, so it can sit in public page source without exposing your account. Usage counts against your monthly quota, so a key that leaks is capped by your plan rather than unlimited. Keep your secret key on a server and never in a widget.

Do I need to configure CORS or a server for the widgets to work?

No. RoxyAPI already sends the CORS headers browsers require, so script widgets fetch live data from any site with zero server setup on your side. The hosted embed URL and iframe run entirely on RoxyAPI pages, so CORS never applies to them at all. The only setup is listing your site domain in the origin allowlist of your publishable key, which is a security check on the RoxyAPI side, not a change to your website or hosting.

Can I match the widgets to my brand?
