Human Design Bodygraph

A Human Design chart, also called a bodygraph, is a map of nine energy centers, the channels that wire them together, and the gates that activate. It is built from your exact birth date, time, and place, and combines the positions of the planets at birth with their positions about three months earlier. From that map it derives your energy type, your strategy and authority for making decisions, and your profile.

You need your date of birth, your time of birth as precisely as possible, and your birth city. Time matters because the profile lines and gate boundaries can shift with the minute of birth, so a rounded or unknown time will move some details. Enter the closest time you have and select your birth city from the list to set the location.

The five types are Manifestor, Generator, Manifesting Generator, Projector, and Reflector. Each type has its own strategy for engaging with life, such as responding, informing, waiting for an invitation, or waiting a full lunar cycle. Your chart names your type along with its signature, the feeling of living in alignment, and its not-self theme, the feeling that signals you have drifted off course.

Inner authority is the part of your design your chart points to as your most reliable guide for decisions, for example an emotional, sacral, splenic, ego, or lunar authority. Rather than deciding purely from the mind, the idea is to learn how your specific authority signals a clear yes or no, then let your strategy and authority work together over time.

The planetary positions behind your bodygraph are computed with Roxy Ephemeris, verified against NASA JPL Horizons, so the placements are precise to the minute of birth you provide. The main source of variation between calculators is birth time, since even a few minutes can change a profile line or a gate near a boundary, so use the most exact time you can find.
